Out with NCT, in with The Bump Class. For all you new, and experienced moms who have always wanted to take a pediatric first aid, course, I have the one for you. Our family doctor, Dr Chiara Hunt, and her team of baby experts are offering these great classes, which I just had to share.
Being in charge of a helpless newborn can be over-whelming for first time parents. Many find that having a good basic knowledge of paediatric first aid gives them added confidence to care for their baby on their own. The session covers resuscitation including choking and the recovery position, fol-lowed by treatment of common illnesses and accidents.
Two-hour training courses are run regularly and we encourage every carer to attend – including family members and nannies.
